    RTN4R (Reticulon 4 Receptor (RTN4R))

    Alternative Name

    Nogo 66 Receptor

    Background

Nogo Receptor mediates axonal growth inhibition and may play a role in regulating axonal regeneration and plasticity in the adult central nervous system. It is also a receptor for Nogo A (RTN4), OMG and MAG. Nogo Receptor (Nogo R, NgR), also named reticulon 4 receptor, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein that belongs to the family of leucine-rich repeat (LRR) proteins. It is expressed predominantly in the central nervous systems on neurons and their axons.Synonyms: NOGOR, Nogo receptor, RTN4R, Reticulon-4 receptor
